The vestry of Trinity Stoughton acts as the legal representative of the parish in all matters pertaining to its corporate property. In addition, Trinity’s vestry is a visioning body; working to help define and articulate the mission of the parish and its congregation. Composed of two wardens, a treasurer, clerk and six members elected by the parish at its annual meeting.
Our senior warden acts as a support person for the rector and our junior warden has responsibility for church property. Our vestry works in collaboration with the Rector to ensure thoughtful worship, effective stewardship of our finances and resources and organization and planning.
As we conduct this business, our hope is that we build respect for one another, create space for people to offer their talents and time to the parish and find the opportunities that abound around us to live and laugh from time to time!
